Absence Summary Report (Teacher Portal)

Overview

The Absence Summary Report provides a quick snapshot of student attendance based on selected course, section, and time period.

It helps teachers:

  • Track attendance trends
  • Identify frequently absent students
  • Monitor attendance behavior over time

How to Access

Go to:
Reports → Attendance → Absence Summary


Filters & Settings

Course

  • Select the course
  • Example: BBA Courses

Course Section

  • Select the specific section of the course
  • Example: Finance – 1st Year

Show Report By

Defines the time range for the report.

Options may include:

  • This School Year
  • Quarter / Semester
  • Progress Period

Notes
Determines how attendance is aggregated


Period (in detailed view)

  • Choose how attendance is displayed:
    • Daily
    • Period-wise

Search Button

  • Click to generate the report based on selected filters

Attendance Codes (Configured by School)

The attendance codes displayed in this report (such as P, A, T, L, HF, EA, UA) are configured by the school administrator and may vary across institutions.

These codes are defined under attendance settings and are not fixed by the system.


How to Read the Codes

  • Each code represents an attendance status defined by your school
  • Common examples may include:
    • P → Present
    • A → Absent
    • T → Tardy

Notes
However, these meanings are not universal and may differ based on configuration.


Student Detail View

Click on a student name to see detailed attendance.

Date

  • Specific attendance date

Daily Attendance

  • Overall status for the day

Period-wise Attendance (P1, P2, P3…)

  • Attendance per class period

Admin Comment

  • Additional notes (if any)

Export Option

  • Export attendance data to Excel

Important Notes

  • Data depends on attendance records entered
  • Codes may vary based on school configuration
  • Some columns may not appear if not used
  • Attendance codes and their meanings depend on administrator configuration and may differ between schools.

Limitations

  • Cannot edit attendance from this report
  • Only displays recorded data
