Add Calendar and Add Events and Holidays
Calendar Management
When you sign up for openSIS, a calendar is created for your first school. That calendar is your default calendar and can be used for enrolling students, taking attendance, marking events, and holidays.
It is important to mark holidays on your calendar so that the system does not generate missing attendance for those days. Once a day is marked as a holiday, it will turn light red denoting it is a holiday.
Add an Event
To add an event, click on any day of the calendar and a pop-up will open. Fill it out with the relevant information and submit it. That event will show on your calendar.

Note: When you turn on the toggle switch to show events system wide, it will display the event for all schools that are under your account
Add a Holiday
To add a holiday, click on any day of the calendar and a pop-up will open. Select the Holiday tab next to Event and fill it out with the relevant information and submit it. That event will show on your calendar.
Editing the Calendar
If there is more than one calendar in your school, can select the calendar you want to edit from the selection box on the calendar name and click on the pencil icon to the right to edit.
You will be able to adjust the calendar switches and update them.

Be careful not to turn off a school day into a week-end.
