Overview

The Administrator Dashboard is the main landing page for school administrators after logging in to openSIS. It gives a quick snapshot of important school activity, pending alerts, student and staff information, attendance data, billing insights, messages, and upcoming events.

The dashboard helps administrators monitor daily operations from one central place without navigating through multiple menus.

Accessing the Administrator Dashboard

After logging in as a school administrator, the system opens the Dashboard by default.

Administrators can also access it anytime from the left menu by clicking:

What You Can View on the Dashboard

The Administrator Dashboard includes several sections, such as:

  • School, academic year, and marking period selectors
  • Alerts for messages, applications, course requests, and missing attendance
  • Summary cards for students, staff, and parents
  • Student charts by gender and ethnicity/race
  • Attendance insights for the current week
  • Students with high absence percentage
  • Students with lowest GPA
  • Billing insight charts
  • Calendar, events, and meetings
  • Behavior referrals
  • Recent messages
  • Quick Add actions
  • Help and Support, Ask Piloo, and communication shortcuts

Using the Header Filters

At the top of the dashboard, administrators can select the active:

School
Academic Year
Marking Period

The dashboard data updates based on the selected context. This ensures administrators are viewing information for the correct school year and grading period.

Alerts Section

The Alerts section highlights items that may need attention, such as:

  • Messages
  • Applications
  • Course requests
  • Missing attendance

Each alert shows a count so administrators can quickly identify pending activity.

Summary Cards and Charts

The dashboard displays key summary cards for:

  • Students
  • Staff
  • Parents

It also includes visual charts, such as:

  • Students by Gender
  • Students by Ethnicity or Race

These charts help administrators understand the school population at a glance.

Attendance and Academic Insights

Administrators can view attendance-related information, including:

  • Weekly attendance status
  • Missing attendance count
  • Students with more than 10% absence

The dashboard may also show academic alerts, such as students with the lowest GPAs.

Billing Insight

The Billing Insight section provides a quick financial overview, including collection status and fee-based summaries. This helps administrators monitor collected, overdue, and upcoming receivable amounts.

Quick Add Actions

The Quick Add area provides shortcuts for common actions, such as:

  • Send Message
  • Add Referral
  • Add Fees
  • Add Activity
  • Add Absence
  • Add Subscription

These shortcuts help administrators complete frequent tasks faster.

Support and Help Options

The dashboard also provides access to support tools, including:

  • Help and Support
  • Ask Piloo
  • WhatsApp support shortcut

These options help users find guidance or request assistance directly from the dashboard.

Review the Administrator Dashboard daily to check pending alerts, missing attendance, messages, billing updates, and other operational items that may require action.
