The Communication module in openSIS enables teachers to send, receive, and manage messages within the system. It provides a centralized platform for interacting with students, parents, and groups using email and SMS, without relying on external tools.


Purpose

The Communication module helps teachers:

  • Send messages to students, parents, or groups
  • Receive and manage incoming messages
  • Communicate using both Email and SMS
  • Organize recipients using groups
  • Use AI-powered assistance for writing and translating messages

Module Navigation

Navigate to:

Left Menu → Communication

The module includes the following sections:

  • Compose – Create and send new messages
  • Inbox – View received messages
  • Sent – View previously sent messages
  • Groups – Create and manage recipient groups
  • SMS – Send and manage SMS communication
  • Settings – Configure email (SMTP) and communication settings
