The Compose feature allows administrators to create and send messages to individual users or communication groups directly from the Communication module. Messages can be delivered as internal openSIS messages and, if configured, can also be sent as emails.
The compose window includes several productivity features, including AI-assisted writing, automatic translation, rich-text formatting, and file attachments.
The Compose Message window opens.
In the To field, begin typing the name of a recipient and select the appropriate user from the suggestions.
To send the message to multiple recipients, continue adding additional users.
If needed, select CC / BCC to include carbon copy or blind carbon copy recipients.
Below the recipient field, openSIS displays available Communication Groups.
Select one or more groups to quickly address the same message to multiple recipients.
Enter a meaningful subject in the Subject field.
A clear subject helps recipients quickly identify the purpose of the message.
Use the rich-text editor to compose your message.
The editor supports formatting options such as:
These options help create professional and easy-to-read communications.
Select Help me write to use the built-in AI writing assistant.
The AI assistant can help generate or improve message content, making it easier to prepare professional communications while saving time.
The Communication module provides two translation options.
Enable AI-powered auto translation based on recipient's first language.
When enabled, the system automatically translates the message into each recipient's preferred language while also sending the original language version.
If you prefer to send the message in a specific language, choose a language from the Select Language list.
The system translates the message into the selected language before sending.
Enable Send this as an email also if you want recipients to receive the message through email in addition to their openSIS inbox.
This option requires the institution's email server to be configured.
Scroll to the Attachments section.
Upload files from your local computer by selecting the upload area or dragging and dropping supported files.
Attachments are delivered along with the message.
After reviewing the message:
The message is delivered to the selected recipients and appears in your Sent folder.
