Create and Manage Communication Groups

The Groups feature in the Communication module allows teachers to organize multiple recipients into a single group. This helps in sending messages efficiently without selecting recipients individually each time.


Purpose

Groups help teachers to:

  • Send messages to multiple recipients at once
  • Reduce repetitive recipient selection
  • Organize communication by class, section, or purpose

Accessing Groups

The Groups feature in the Communication module allows teachers to organize multiple recipients into a single group. This helps in sending messages efficiently without selecting recipients individually each time.

Accessing Groups

Navigate to:

Left Menu → Communication → Groups


Creating a New Group

To create a group:

  1. Click on the “+” (Add Group) icon
  2. The Create New Group popup will appear
  3. Enter the Group Title
  4. Click Submit

Using Groups

  • Groups can be selected while composing messages
  • Enables sending messages to multiple users instantly
  • Common examples:
    • Class groups
    • Student-parent groups
    • Activity-based groups

Managing Groups

  • Existing groups are listed under the Groups section
  • Groups can be reused for future communication
  • Helps maintain consistency in communication workflows

Key Notes

  • Group availability depends on user role and permissions
  • Group members are managed within the system
  • Groups simplify bulk communication but do not replace individual messaging
