Enter Effort Grades on Behalf of a Teacher

Overview

The Input Effort Grade feature allows authorized administrators to record effort or behavior-based grades for students on behalf of a teacher. Effort grades help evaluate non-academic performance such as participation, work habits, responsibility, and classroom behavior based on the effort categories configured by the school.

Administrators can select a teacher, choose a student, review the configured effort categories, assign effort ratings, and save the evaluation.

Prerequisites

Before entering effort grades, ensure that:

  • Effort grade categories and values have been configured.
  • Students are enrolled in the teacher's course section.
  • You have permission to access Teacher Functions.

Go to:

Staff > Teacher Functions > Input Effort Grade

The page displays a list of teachers.

Search for a Teacher

You can locate a teacher by:

  • Using the Search box.
  • Selecting Advanced Search to filter teachers using additional criteria.

Click the teacher's name to open the Effort Grade Details page.

Enter Effort Grades

On the Effort Grade Details page:

  1. (Optional) Enable Include Inactive Students to display inactive student records.
  2. Use the Search box to quickly locate a student.
  3. Select the student from the Student Details panel.
  4. Review the available Effort Categories and Effort Titles.
  5. Select the appropriate rating from the Value dropdown for each effort criterion.
  6. Repeat the process for additional effort categories, if applicable.

Notes

  • The available effort categories and rating values depend on the school's grading configuration.

  • Only users with the appropriate permissions can modify effort grades.
  • Changes are saved for the selected student only.
