Export Data from openSIS to Excel
Overview
The Export Data from openSIS to Excel tool allows authorized users to download important openSIS data in Excel format. This is useful when administrators need to review records offline, maintain a backup, share selected information with authorized teams, or analyze data outside the system.
The export page provides separate download options for different data categories.

Available Export Categories
The following data categories can be exported:

| School Data | Downloads school-related setup and basic institutional data. |
| Subject + Course + Course Section Data | Downloads subject, course, and course section information. |
| Student Data | Downloads student profile and demographic data. |
| Student Academic Data | Downloads student academic-related records. |
| Parent Data | Downloads parent or guardian information. |
| Staff Data | Downloads staff profile information. |
Steps to Export Data
- Log in to openSIS with an authorized user account.
- Go to the left menu.
- Click Tools.
- Under Data Interchange, click Export Data from openSIS to Excel.
- The Export Data page opens.
- Choose the data category you want to download.
- Click the required category card or the Excel icon beside it.
- The selected data will be downloaded as an Excel file.

| Download | Indicates that the selected data category can be downloaded. |
| Excel Icon | Downloads the selected data category in Excel format. |
| School Data | Exports school-related data. |
| Student Data | Exports student-related data. |
| Parent Data | Exports parent or guardian data. |
| Staff Data | Exports staff-related data. |
| Subject + Course + Course Section Data | Exports course structure and section-related data. |
| Student Academic Data | Exports academic information related to students. |
Important Notes
- The downloaded file opens in Excel or any compatible spreadsheet application.
- Export access depends on the user’s role and permissions.
- Exported files may contain sensitive school, student, parent, or staff information.
- Share downloaded files only with authorized users.
- Store exported files securely after download.
