Generate Student Final Grade Reports

Overview

The Student Final Grades report allows administrators to generate final grade reports for selected students. This report is useful for reviewing academic performance, attendance-related grade details, teacher comments, percentages, credits earned, and marking period results.

Administrators can customize what appears on the grade report before generating it.

Go to Reports > Grades > Student Final Grades.


Generate a Student Final Grades Report

Step 1: Select Grade List Options

Under Include on Grade List, enable the information you want to include in the report.

Available options may include:

  • Teacher
  • Comments
  • Percentages
  • Credit Earned
  • Year-to-Date Daily Absences
  • Daily Absences this quarter
  • Period-by-Period Absences
  • Other Attendance Year-to-Date
  • Other Attendance this quarter

The selected options determine what additional information appears in the final grade report.


Step 2: Select Marking Periods

Under Marking Periods, choose the reporting period for which final grades should be generated.

Available options may include:

  • Full Year
  • Semester
  • Quarter
  • Custom

Select the relevant marking period before choosing students.


Step 3: Select Students

Use the student list to select the students whose final grade reports you want to generate.

You can:

  • Search for students using the Search box.
  • Use Advanced Search to filter students by additional criteria.
  • Enable Show Missing Final Grades if you want to identify students with missing final grade data.
  • Select one or more students using the checkboxes.

Step 4: Generate the Report

Click Generate Report.

openSIS generates the final grade report based on the selected students, marking periods, and included options.


Review, Export, or Filter

After generating or reviewing the report list, administrators can:

  • Search within the results.
  • Apply filters.
  • Export the report to Microsoft Excel.
  • Review missing final grades when applicable.

Tips

  • Select the correct marking period before generating the report.
  • Enable comments and teacher names when the report is intended for student or parent review.
  • Use Show Missing Final Grades before generating official reports.
  • Export the report if further analysis or record keeping is required.

Expected Result

A final grade report is generated for the selected students with the chosen grade, attendance, teacher, comment, percentage, and credit options.
