Generate Student Progress Reports for a Teacher

Overview

The Progress Reports feature allows authorized administrators to generate and print student progress reports on behalf of a teacher. Progress reports provide a snapshot of a student's academic performance, including assignment grades, attendance, comments, and overall progress for a selected marking period.

Administrators can select a teacher, choose the required course section and marking period, and generate progress reports for individual students or an entire class.


Prerequisites

Before generating progress reports, ensure that:

  • The teacher has recorded grades for the selected course section.
  • Students are enrolled in the course section.
  • The required marking period is available.
  • You have permission to access Teacher Functions.

Go to:

NotesStaff > Teacher Functions > Progress Reports

The page displays a list of teachers.


Search for a Teacher

You can locate a teacher by:

  • Using the Search box.
  • Selecting Advanced Search to apply additional search criteria.

Click the teacher's name to open the Progress Reports page.


Generate Progress Reports

  1. Select the Course Section.
  2. Select the Marking Period.
  3. (Optional) Enable Include Inactive Students to display inactive student records.
  4. Review the list of enrolled students.
  5. Select the student(s) for whom you want to generate progress reports.
  6. Click Generate Progress Reports.

The selected progress reports are generated and can be printed or downloaded, depending on your browser settings.


Progress Report Information

A student's progress report may include:

  • Student information
  • Course and course section
  • Marking period
  • Assignment grades
  • Running average
  • Letter grade
  • Teacher comments
  • Attendance summary

The information displayed depends on the school's grading configuration and available student records.


Important Notes

  • Progress reports reflect the most recent grades available in the gradebook.
  • Ensure grades have been entered before generating reports.
  • Reports can be generated for one or multiple students.
  • Only authorized users can generate progress reports on behalf of teachers.
