Generate Student Schedule Reports

Overview

The Student Schedule Report allows administrators to generate printable schedules for one or more students for a selected marking period. openSIS offers multiple report templates to suit different reporting needs, including Term Schedule Report, Calendar Schedule Report, and Block Schedule Report.

These reports are useful for sharing schedules with students and parents, verifying enrollments, and reviewing course assignments for a specific marking period.


Access Student Schedule Reports

  1. Log in to openSIS with administrator privileges.
  2. Navigate to Reports.
  3. Under the Scheduling section, click Schedules.

The Student Schedule Report page opens.


Select a Marking Period

Use the Marking Period drop-down menu to choose the reporting period.

Available options may include:

  • Full Year
  • Semester
  • Quarter
  • Custom Date Range (if available)

The report will display schedules based on the selected period.


Choose a Report Template

Select one of the available templates from the Template drop-down.

Term Schedule Report

Displays the student's schedule organized by the selected marking period with course details for each scheduled period.

Calendar Schedule Report

Displays the student's schedule in a calendar-style format, making it easy to visualize classes throughout the week.

Block Schedule Report

Displays schedules in a block timetable format for institutions using block scheduling.


Select Students

Locate the students whose schedules you want to generate.

You can:

  • Use the Search box to find a student.
  • Click Advanced Search to filter students using additional criteria.
  • Select one or more students using the checkboxes.

Generate the Report

After selecting the students:

  1. Verify the marking period and report template.
  2. Click the appropriate action to generate the report.

openSIS prepares the schedule report for the selected students.


Review the Report

The generated report includes information such as:

  • School information
  • Student name
  • Student ID
  • Grade level
  • Alternate ID (if available)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Scheduled courses
  • Period timings
  • Classroom assignments
  • Teacher names

The report format varies depending on the selected template.


After generating the report, you can:

  • Print the schedule for distribution.
  • Save the report as a PDF using your browser's print options.
  • Generate reports for additional students as needed.

Tips

  • Verify the selected marking period before generating reports.
  • Multiple student schedules can be generated during the same session.
  • Different templates provide different layouts while using the same schedule data.
