How to View and Request Courses in the Student Portal
Overview
The Courses module in the Student Portal allows students to view available courses, request enrollments, and track their enrollment status for each course.
Students can request course enrollment directly through the portal and view the status of their requests.
Accessing the Courses Module
- Log in to the Student Portal
- From the left menu, click Courses
- You will see the following options:
- Course Catalog
- Course Enrollment
- Course Enrollment Status
1. Course Catalog
This section displays a list of available courses for the current academic year.
Students can view:
- List of available courses for their grade level
- Course details such as subjects, short names, credit hours, and grade levels
- Filter available courses by academic year, subject, and grade level
Note: Students cannot enroll directly from the catalog. They must go to Course Enrollment to request a course.
2. Course Enrollment
This section allows students to request enrollment in specific courses.
Students can:
- Browse available courses from the Course Catalog
- Select preferred course sections
- Submit their course enrollment requests
3. Course Enrollment Status
This section shows the status of course enrollment requests submitted by the student.
Students can view:
- Requested courses and their status (e.g., Pending, Approved, Rejected)
- Course details like subject, section, and grade level
Key Notes
- View-only for course catalog and enrollment status
- Students can request course enrollment but cannot make any direct changes to course schedules
- The Course Schedule will appear once enrollment is confirmed
