How to View Daily Attendance in the Student Portal

Overview

The Daily Attendance section allows students to view their attendance records in a calendar-based format.

Students can switch between:

  • Week View → Detailed attendance by class period
  • Month View → Overall attendance summary

This section is view-only and reflects attendance recorded by the school.

Accessing Daily Attendance

  1. Log in to the Student Portal
  2. From the left menu, click Attendance
  3. Select Daily Attendance

Viewing Attendance

🔹 Week View (Detailed View)

The Week View shows attendance for each day and class period.

What You Can See
  • Days of the week (Sunday–Saturday)
  • Class periods/blocks (e.g., Block 1, Block 2)
  • Attendance status:
    • 🟢 Present
    • 🔴 Absent
    • 🔴 Attendance Not Taken
Why It Matters
  • Track attendance for each class
  • Identify missed periods
  • Check if attendance is pending

🔹 Month View (Summary View)

The Month View provides a high-level overview of attendance.

  • Full monthly calendar
  • Markers indicating attendance (e.g., absences)
Why It Matters
  • Identify attendance patterns
  • Spot frequent absences easily
  • Use left/right arrows to move between weeks or months
  • Toggle between:
    • Week View
    • Month View

Understanding Attendance Status

  • Present → You attended the class
  • Absent → You missed the class
  • Attendance Not Taken → Attendance is not yet recorded

  • This is a view-only section
  • Attendance is recorded by the school
  • Data updates as attendance is entered
