How to View Your Child’s Absence Summary in the Parent Portal

Overview

The Absence Summary section in the Parent Portal allows parents to monitor their child’s attendance, including daily attendance status and absence patterns over a selected period.

This provides transparency into the student’s attendance behavior.

Accessing Absence Summary

  1. Log in to the Parent Portal
  2. From the left menu, click Attendance
  3. Select Absence Summary

Viewing Absence Summary

You can filter attendance using:

1. Show Report By

  • Full Year
  • Quarter
  • Other available periods

2. Period

  • Select Daily to view detailed attendance
  • Displays attendance data based on selection

What You Can See

The Absence Summary includes:

  • Date-wise Attendance
  • Daily Status:
    • 🟢 Present
    • 🔴 Absent
    • 🟠 Half Day
  • Period-wise Attendance (P1, P2, etc.)
  • Admin Comments (e.g., Sick, Early Pickup)

Understanding the Data

  • Helps track:
    • Frequent absences
    • Partial attendance
    • Attendance consistency
  • Parents can easily identify patterns that may require attention
