How to Manage Student Behavior Referrals in openSIS

Manage Student Referrals

Overview

The Referrals page allows school administrators and authorized staff to review, monitor, and manage student behavior incidents recorded within openSIS. Each referral serves as a centralized record containing incident details, the students involved, reporting staff, assigned staff members, behavior classifications, administrative decisions, and the current referral status.

Administrators can use this page to search, filter, review, update, print, and track referrals throughout the disciplinary process.

Access Student Referrals

  1. Log in to openSIS with an account that has permission to access Behavior & Discipline.
  2. From the left navigation menu, select Behavior & Discipline.
  3. Click Referrals.

Use the status filter to display:

  • Open referrals that still require action.
  • Closed referrals that have been completed.

Tags
