Overview
The Courses module in openSIS allows teachers to view the academic structure of the institution, including courses, course sections, and their assigned classes.
This module helps teachers understand:
- What courses are available
- How courses are structured
- Which classes they are associated with
The Courses module is divided into three sections:
1. Course Manager
The Course Manager displays all courses created in the system.
Teachers can:
- View the list of courses
- Apply filters (Subject, Program, Grade Level)
- View course details
- View associated course sections

This section is view-only for teachers.
2. Course Catalog
The Course Catalog provides a structured overview of all courses and their sections.
Teachers can:
- Browse all available courses
- View course breakdowns
- See scheduling and section-level details

This is also a view-only section.
3. My Classes
The My Classes section shows the courses and sections assigned specifically to the teacher.
Teachers can:
- View their assigned classes
- Access class-specific information

This section is important for daily teaching activities.
Permissions
Teachers can:
- View courses and course details
- View course sections and schedules
Teachers cannot:
- Add or create courses
- Edit course information
- Delete any course or section

All course data is managed by administrators.
