Submit Final Grades in openSIS (Input Final Grades)
Overview
The Input Final Grades section allows teachers to enter final grades and comments for students at the end of a marking period.

This is used for report cards and official grading.
How to Access
- Go to Courses → My Classes
- Select a class
- Click Grades
- Click Input Final Grades
Enter Final Grades
- Enter the student’s percentage score (e.g.,
85, 92)

This represents the final grade for the marking period.
- Select from a list of standard comments

These are configured by administrators.
- Enter custom feedback for each student

Useful for report cards and parent communication.
Select Marking Period
- Choose the relevant marking period (e.g., PP1)

Final grades are always tied to a marking period.
Import Options
- Get Gradebook Grades → Pull calculated grades
- Get LMS Grades → Sync from external systems

Helps reduce manual entry.
Grade Lock / Reporting Closed
You may see a message like:
“These grades are complete. Grade reporting ended for this marking period…”
Meaning:
- The grading window is closed
- You may not be able to edit grades
Additional Options
- Include Inactive Students
- Show/Edit Credit Earned (if enabled)

Use Input Final Grades to:
- Submit final grades for report cards
- Enter or adjust final percentages
- Add official comments
Limitations
- Cannot edit grades after reporting is closed
- Cannot modify system-defined comments
- Cannot manage assignments here
