View Activity Log

Overview

The Activity Log in openSIS helps authorized users review actions performed inside the system. It records who performed an action, when it was done, the system area involved, and a short description of the activity.

This log is useful for administrative review, monitoring system usage, and checking changes made by users in different modules.

Steps to View the Activity Log

  1. Log in to openSIS with an authorized user account.
  2. Go to the left menu.
  3. Click Tools.
  4. Under System Logs, click Activity Log.
  5. The Activity Log page opens.
  6. Select the From Date and To Date.
  7. Click Search.
  8. The system displays the activity records for the selected date range.

Search and Filter Options

OptionDescription
From DateSelects the starting date for the activity log search.
To DateSelects the ending date for the activity log search.
Search ButtonDisplays activity records between the selected dates.
Search BoxAllows users to search within the displayed activity log records.
Excel IconExports the displayed activity log data to an Excel file.

Activity Log Columns

ColumnDescription
Reference No.Shows the unique reference number for the activity entry.
Date TimeShows the date and time when the activity was performed.
UserShows the name of the user who performed the action.
System AreaShows the module or section where the activity occurred.
Action PerformedShows the type of action, such as Create.
DescriptionShows a short explanation of the activity performed.
ActionShows any additional action-related control or value, if available.

Export Activity Log to Excel

  1. Open the Activity Log page.
  2. Select the required From Date and To Date.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click the Excel icon.
  5. The displayed activity log data is downloaded in Excel format.

Important Notes

  • Access to the Activity Log depends on user role and permissions.
  • Use the date range fields to narrow down the results.
  • The log helps track actions performed across different system areas.
  • Exported files may contain sensitive user activity information.
  • Share exported activity log files only with authorized users.
  • The Activity Log is useful for administrative review, troubleshooting, and maintaining workflow traceability.
