View Students in a Class (Students Tab) – openSIS

Overview

The Students tab displays the complete list of students enrolled in a class. It allows teachers to view student details, search for specific students, and quickly navigate to individual student profiles.


How to Access

  1. Go to Courses → My Classes
  2. Select a class
  3. Click on the Students tab

Information Displayed

Each student row includes:

  • Student Name
  • Student ID
  • Alternate ID (if available)
  • Grade Level
  • Section / Cohort
  • Phone Number

Notes
This provides a quick overview of all students in the class.


Search and Filters

Teachers can:

  • Use the Search bar to find students quickly
  • Enable Include Inactive Students toggle to view withdrawn/inactive students

Notes
Helps in managing both active and historical records.


Access Student Profile (Important)

Clicking on any student name opens the Student 360 (Student Detail Page)

  • This is the same student profile view accessible from the main Students module
  • You can view full details like:
    • Personal information
    • Academic records
    • Attendance history
    • Grades

This provides a seamless way to move from class view to full student insights.


What You Can Do Here

Teachers can:

  • View all enrolled students
  • Search and filter student lists
  • Access detailed student profiles (Student 360)

Teachers cannot:

  • Edit student enrollment from this screen (view-only)

Quick Tips

  • Use search when dealing with large classes
  • Toggle inactive students when reviewing past enrollments
  • Click a student name to quickly access full details
