Viewing Dashboard Summary Cards and Charts

Overview

The Administrator Dashboard provides visual summaries that help administrators monitor important school information without generating reports. These cards and charts offer a quick overview of enrollment, attendance, academic performance, student demographics, and financial data.

Student, Staff, and Parent Summary Cards

The summary cards display the total number of:

  • Students
  • Staff members
  • Parents

These counts provide a quick snapshot of the institution's current records.

Student Demographic Charts

The dashboard includes charts that display student demographic information.

Students by Gender

This chart shows the distribution of students by gender, helping administrators understand the school's enrollment composition.

Students by Ethnicity or Race

The demographic chart can display student distribution by Ethnicity or Race. Use the toggle above the chart to switch between the two views.

These charts help administrators review demographic data for reporting and planning purposes.

Attendance Summary

The attendance widgets provide an overview of student attendance for the selected academic period.

Depending on your institution's data, the dashboard may display:

  • Attendance for the current week
  • Overall attendance percentage
  • Missing attendance count
  • Students with more than 10% absence

These widgets help identify attendance trends and highlight students who may require intervention.

Academic Performance

The dashboard may include a list of students with the lowest GPAs based on the selected academic year and marking period.

Administrators can use this information to identify students who may benefit from additional academic support.

Billing Insight

The Billing Insight section provides graphical summaries of school fee collections.

Available charts include:

  • Total Collection Year to Date (YTD)
  • Total Collection by Fee Type

These visualizations help administrators monitor collected amounts, overdue balances, and outstanding fees.

Calendar and Events

The dashboard includes a calendar displaying the current month along with scheduled school events and meetings, allowing administrators to stay informed about upcoming activities.

Behavior Referrals

The Behavior Referrals widget displays recent student behavior incidents and their current status, enabling administrators to monitor disciplinary activities directly from the dashboard.

Interactive Dashboard Widgets

Many dashboard widgets include an Expand icon in the upper-right corner. Selecting this icon opens a larger view of the widget, making it easier to review detailed information.

Some widgets also support direct navigation to their related module, allowing administrators to take action from the dashboard.

Best Practice

Use the dashboard summary cards and charts as part of your daily routine to monitor enrollment, attendance, academic performance, student demographics, behavior referrals, and financial activity. Regularly reviewing these visual summaries helps identify trends and supports timely administrative decisions.
