How to Add a Custom Behavior Field in openSIS

Overview

Custom Behavior Fields in openSIS allow administrators to capture school-specific behavior information that is not covered by default fields. These fields help schools document additional details required by internal policies or reporting needs.

This article explains how to create a new custom behavior field step by step.

Who Can Add Custom Behavior Fields?

  • Only Administrators can add custom behavior fields

  • Teachers and staff can use these fields when recording incidents but cannot create or modify them

  • Determines where the field appears on the behavior incident form

  • Lower numbers appear first

  • Dropdown – For predefined response options

Save the Custom Field
