How to Edit a Behavior Field in openSIS

Overview

openSIS allows administrators to edit existing behavior fields to keep behavior data aligned with school policies and operational needs. Editing a behavior field lets you update its title or display order without creating a new field.

This article explains how to edit a behavior field and what changes are allowed.

Who Can Edit Behavior Fields?

  • Only Administrators can edit behavior fields

  • Teachers and staff can view and use these fields but cannot modify them

Steps to Edit a Behavior Field

Follow the steps below to edit a behavior field:

  1. Log in to openSIS as an Administrator

  3. Navigate to Behavior

  4. Click Behavior Fields

  5. Select the behavior field you want to edit

  6. Click the three-dot (⋮) menu

Editable Field Properties

When editing a behavior field, you can update:

Field Title

  • Modify the name of the field

  • Use clear and descriptive titles

  • Lower numbers appear higher in the form

What Cannot Be Edited

  • Avoid frequent changes to active fields

  • Inform staff if field names are updated
