How to Edit a Behavior Field in openSIS
Overview
openSIS allows administrators to edit existing behavior fields to keep behavior data aligned with school policies and operational needs. Editing a behavior field lets you update its title or display order without creating a new field.

Who Can Edit Behavior Fields?
Steps to Edit a Behavior Field
Follow the steps below to edit a behavior field:

Log in to openSIS as an Administrator

Go to Settings

Navigate to Behavior
-
Click Behavior Fields
-
Select the behavior field you want to edit

Click the three-dot (⋮) menu
-
Choose Edit Item

Editable Field Properties
When editing a behavior field, you can update:
Field Title
Sort Order

What Cannot Be Edited
-
Data type cannot be changed after creation
-
Default behavior fields have restricted properties
-
Core system behavior fields cannot be removed
If a data type needs to change, create a new custom field instead.
Save Changes

Click Update
-
The changes apply immediately to new behavior entries
