Overview
The Lesson Plan Library is where lesson plans are created, managed, and reused.
Lesson plans created here can be:
- Assigned to calendar dates
- Reused across courses
- Edited, copied, or deleted
How to Access
Go to:
Lesson Plan Library (left menu)
Lesson Plan List View
The main screen displays all lesson plans with:
- Lesson Identifier
- Subject
- Course
- Unit
- Owner
- Last Updated Date
Search and Filter
- Use Search to find lesson plans
Filter by:
Show Plans Owned by Me
- Toggle “Show plans owned by me”
Displays only lesson plans created by the logged-in teacher
Add New Lesson Plan
Click “Add New Lesson Plan” to create a lesson.
Create Lesson Plan
Required Fields
- Subject
- Course
- Lesson Identifier
- Unit
Lesson Content Fields
Teachers can define:
- Specific Topic → What is being taught
- Instructional Goal → Learning goal
- Performance Objective → Expected outcome
- Rationale → Why the lesson is important
- Lesson Content → Core teaching material
- Instructional Procedures → Step-by-step teaching method
- Evaluation Procedures → How learning will be assessed
- Materials and Aids → Resources used
Standards (Optional)
- Add academic standards using “Add Standards”
Useful for curriculum alignment
Save Lesson Plan
- Click Submit to save
- Lesson becomes available in the library and calendar
Lesson Plan Actions
Each lesson plan has actions:
✏️ Edit
- Modify existing lesson plan
🗑️ Delete
📄 Copy Lesson Plan
- Duplicate an existing plan

Reusability Across Courses
Lesson plans are not limited to one course
They can be:
- Used across multiple courses
- Applied to different classes

Lesson plans are not directly executed here.
They are applied via:
Class Calendar → Select Date → Add Lesson Plan

- Create lesson plan (Library)
- Save lesson plan
- Go to Class Calendar
- Assign lesson to a date
Important Notes
Limitations
- Cannot assign lesson plan to date from this screen
- Cannot track daily schedule here
- Cannot auto-generate lessons
Best Practices
- Use clear lesson identifiers (e.g., L101, Unit 5 - Algebra)
- Reuse plans instead of creating duplicates
- Keep instructional fields detailed for consistency
- Use copy feature for faster planning
